Yep, I follow...so in the Hip Hop chat yesterday when they said to use the Love in the Air set, guess what I used? Really, it hadn't seen ink since I bought it, so I figured this was the perfect time to pull it out! Jon and I have a friend who owns a hot air balloon. So when we lived in MI, we used to be part of his "chase crew." That meant, while he was flying around, we drove around on the ground following him (see, I'm a follower!). It was more exciting then it sounds, promise! Jon went up a couple times...but not me, I kept my feet firmly planted on the ground!! Okay, enough chit chat (yeah, I know you're bored!). I did a lot of paper piecing on this card, and even pulled out my enemy -- the STICKLES!Supplies Used: Distressed Dots, Love in the Air, This is the Time (mini), Top Note Die, Chocolate Chip SU Ink, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, SEI button, American Crafts ribbon, Fruit Punch, Orange Peel, Frosted Lace, Yellow, and Diamond Stickles, lots of dp
Pin It Now!
Love it! Love the patchwork balloon! Way to rock the balloon trend! Love the background too. And way to be brave with the stickles.
ReplyDeleteOkay Katy, I LOVE THIS CARD. You did such a great job. I can't wait until my new bug comes in so I can use my nesties with the balloon for next week. I will be using mine next week since I am sure to feel better by then! Love your card. And I am sure a chaser is a fun hobby... Those balloons tend to end up just where ever they want... a field, a road, where ever!

ReplyDeleteHave you ever heard the saying:
ReplyDelete"We're just all unique...the same". It's a marketing mantra. So you follow. Look around. We all do! (and teenagers just THINK they are being unique in the fight against the MAN) ;)
Anyway, I love your card. The bright colors are just great!
Love your card! I used to live in Albuquerque, NM ~ I remember when a balloon went down right down the street from my house ~ only 'problem' was it was right on the edge of the road ~ so everyone was stopping to take an up close & personal look at it! I wonder if I could do something to replicate a balloon glow...
