First Ever Blog Award!

Thanks to Jen, I have received my first ever blog award!! What a sweetie!

So this is how this award works...I need to post 7 other bloggers that I adore and then post 7 things that no one knows about me.

So here's my seven of my many many favorites!
1. Jenn @ Double N Designs: I love her fresh and funky style!
2. Christi @ altered ambitions: I'm sure she has tons of blog awards, but her blog is one I visit daily for awesome inspiration!
3. Amy @ Caffinated Cropper: always such fun stuff!!
4. Robyn @ Combat Cropper Robyn: I love Robyn's stuff!
5. Rachel @ My Life, My Love(s), My Passion(s): A new friend I made on SCS and so creative!
6. Kerry @ Capturing Creativity: LOVE her stuff. She also uses great color combos and is so talented!
7. AJ @ The Willow Garden: One word.... KRAFT. I blame her for my addiction! :) Just sayin'

Okay, now seven things about me.
1. I tend to overuse the exclamation point when writing. People who don't know me probably think I'm a very excited person.
2. I've lived in 3 different states -- Michigan, Kansas, and Missouri.
3. I've moved 5 times in the past 7 years. It's part of the life of being married to a pastor, I guess. But I really hate moving!
4. I'm extremely sarcastic...which is another bad habit when writing! :)
5. I hate cooking. Despise it really. I don't know how many times I can blame the stove/oven, but I swear it just doesn't work right!!
6. I'm one of 3 people in my family that doesn't live within an hour of our hometown...I should mention that there are 60+ people in our extended family. I miss home a lot.
7. I'm really quite a boring person and enjoy life that way!! :)

Okay, the 7 of you get to pass it on! Enjoy!

More Believe It or Not "Cratifness"

So sorry it has taken me so long to get back with the second installment of photos from Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum! I have been SO busy since we got back from Florida. Vacation Bible School starts Monday and since I'm the one "in charge," tons of last minute stuff is coming up. I'm sure you all know how that goes. Anyway, here is some more to tide you over until I am able to craft something for myself.
Button Art~this man (Robert Charles Heitmann) loves his buttons!

Three quarter scale model of a Rolls Royce, 1908 Silver Ghost. Made with 1,016,711 matches and 63 pts of glue in 3309 hours! That's dedication!

Trousers created with none other then HUMAN HAIR! Comfy?!?

Speaking of human hair, how about a portrait of Abraham Lincoln created from it?! I wonder if he ever thought his picture would be made out of hair...I'm guessing not! It took 14 years to complete this. The clothes are made from the finest silk and his hair and beard are stitched with real hair.

Here's a little piece of history...an actual piece of the Berlin wall!

And last, but not least, Gum Wrapper Art! This is a depiction of Super Bowl IV made from foil gum wrappers. The details up close really was amazing.

So there you have it! Next time somebody tells you only people with too much time on their hands scrapbooks/makes cards/etc... tell them about these projects!

"Believe It or Not" Craftiness!

I'm finally home! The last 11 days I have been in Orlando, FL. Unfortunately, we were there for work/church stuff, but we took a morning off and went to the Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum. I took some pictures of some cool "crafty" things so I could share with you! So see, even though I wasn't blogging, I was thinking of you guys! :)

This picture is a replica of the "Mona Lisa." It was created in a toaster from 1,426 pieces of ordinary white bread.

Next there was a portrait created completely out of dryer lint! How cool (and soft?!?)!
And here is a great image of Abraham Lincoln made from 2,400 pennies!
I'll have more creations later! Sorry the pictures aren't great. I've got a new camera on my wish list. :)
